Our team uses first-hand experience to make the asylum process easier to understand and offers a range of support.

Asylum Case Work

Our in-house Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) Level 2 and IAAS Accredited case worker helps with all asylum-related queries, Home Office communications and prepares asylum appeal applications.

Immigration Advice

Our Immigration Advisor helps with British Citizenship Application, Leave to Remain Under Private and Family Life application, 7 years Continuous Residence for children, Long Residence Route, EUSS and LOTR.

Welfare Support

A highly trained team assists clients with crisis referrals, Migrant Help Communication, GP registration, ASPEN Card issues, and connects clients to much-needed mental health services.

Welcome Mentor Project

Our specialist volunteer programme recruits, trains and enables interested volunteers to assist newly arrived and settled migrants who are struggling to integrate, develop confidence and access support and services in Kirklees.

Asylum Guides

We are a proud member of the Refugee Action Asylum Guide initiative – a programme supporting people in the early stages of the asylum process by reducing barriers to justice and making the asylum system accessible and easy to understand as well as preparing clients for their Substantive Interview.

Post Decision Project

A project that focuses on giving newly granted refugees access to necessary support and helps with integration into the local community.

Outreach Programmes

Our outreach programme aims to raise awareness, increase education and form local partnerships to give our clients access to training and volunteer opportunities. We currently offer Safeguarding, Food Safety, First Aid and Community Interpreting training.

Housing Project

Working alongside partner organisations such as Kirklees Council, Groundworks, and others, we strive to address homelessness by offering personalised support and informational sessions for post-decision refugees, helping with housing, benefits, employment services, and more.

Extra support

We also work closely with partners to offer additional support to our clients through referrals and signposting. This includes:

  • school placements
  • food bank referrals
  • clothing support
  • wellbeing walks
  • educational sessions and more.
